The National Adoption Register
The National Adoption Register exists to make sure that all children awaiting adoption, and all those approved to adopt a child, have the best possible chance of being appropriately matched. Local Authorities seeking to place particular children for adoption, refer those children to the National Register. Agencies, such as St Francis' Children's Society, aim to refer all their approved prospective adopters to the Register, so that they can be matched with a child or children as quickly as possible.
