Adoption Services

We are a well respected adoption agency, delivering excellent results with a low disruption rate. We have a reputation for innovative work, and our pledge of lifelong adoption support.

Our effective and flexible services help people to overcome barriers to adoption, as well as supporting birth families and individuals adopted through the Society.

Thinking about adoption?

We welcome all kinds of families for all kinds of children. Families for children from black or minority ethnic backgrounds are particularly welcomed ('Anancy'), as are families for sibling groups or children with additional needs ('Widening Horizons').

Anancy Black Families

Our Anancy team is particularly keen to hear from you if you are black, of black mixed heritage, or part of a mixed heritage partnership. Many of the children from BME backgrounds are young, and we don't want them to have to wait to find a family. So if you are a BME family considering adoption, please contact us for more information.

Widening Horizons

Through Widening Horizons, we aim to broaden the understanding of those already engaged in the process of applying to adopt, and to broaden our own recruitment strategies to reach those who may already have knowledge and experience of children with special needs.

Supporting You - Adoption Support Services

We pride ourselves on our specialist team, who provide lifelong support and friendship for the whole family.

Support services include:

  • Group services for young people
  • Birth Connections, Birth Link independent support services for birth relatives of children being adopted
  • Lifelong support to adoptive families
