| St Francis’ Children’s Society, in Milton Keynes, was one of the first children’s charities in the UK to be inspected under the new Ofsted regime. The new assessment criteria are much harder but nevertheless, on 4 October, this small adoption agency learnt that their services had been deemed “outstanding”. | Elsie, and her little brother Alfred, decided to forfeit their usual birthday parties this year – instead they had a joint fundraising disco in December. Each guest put a donation towards St Francis’ Children’s Society in a bucket and raised £260! |
