Adoption services
We are a well-respected ado ption agency with a reputation for innovative work. We provide a range of services for potential adopters, helping people overcome barriers to adoption, in addition to supporting birth families and people who have been adopted through the Society.
Most of our services, including our adoption services, are free at p oint of delivery. We deliver excellent results with low disruption rates, providing effective, flexible and focused servi ces with a fast speed of response.
If you are thinking about adoption, we welcome all kinds of families for all kinds of children from tots to teens – particularly families for children from Black Minority Ethnic (BME) communities ('Anancy'), older children, sibling groups and children with additional needs ('Widening Horizons'). We operate with openness, honesty and integrity and welcome questions from anyone.
Our Anancy team is particularly keen to hear from you if you are black, of black mixed heritage, or part of a mixed heritage partnership. Many of the children from BME backgrounds are young, and we don’t want them to have to wait to find a family. So if you are a BME family, please do contact us for more information.
Through Widening Horizons, we aim to broaden the understanding of those already engaged in the process of applying to adopt, and to broaden our own recruitment strategies to reach those who may already have knowledge and experience of children with additional special needs.
