Make a donation

If you feel able to financially support our work – with adoptive children and their families, with adopted adults and with birth relatives – there are a number of ways you can make a donation… from sending a cheque to sending a text!

And don’t forget – if you are a UK resident and a taxpayer, your donation can be gift aided, meaning that for every £1 you give, SFCS can claim 25p extra from HMRC, at no additional cost to you!

Please see below for information on the various ways you can donate…

Giving through work

R

Matching your efforts

Does your employer have a Charitable Trust? Will that Trust match any fundraising you undertake?  There’s no harm in finding out, and you could double the amount raised in an instant!

Tax rebate

To donate all or part of your tax rebate to St Francis’ Children’s Society please enter the following code on the relevant section of your tax return: YAM12LG.

Payroll

Ask your employer to set up a payroll giving scheme to help children and families in need, and nominate St Francis’ Children’s Society as your beneficiary.

How it works
Your donation is deducted by your employer from your pay (or pension) each month before tax, so you get full tax relief on your donation.

This means that each pound we receive only costs you 78p. If you’re a higher rate taxpayer, the deal is even better – just 60p of your hard earned money provides SFCS with a £1 donation!

You can find out more about payroll giving at www.payrollgiving.co.uk.

So even when you’re having a bad day at work, you can feel good by reminding yourself that you are supporting SFCS just by being there!
