At present, for the safety of our staff and everyone we work with, SFCS employees are all working from home. You can read full details of the changes we've made here.
You can still reach us by calling 01908 572700, as all calls are being re-directed. However, if for any reason you are unable to get through or are not given the opportunity to leave a voice message, please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will return your call as quickly as possible.
Please be assured, we are still welcoming new adoption enquiries and providing high-quality services and support to our adopters and other service-users.
St. Francis’ Children’s Society (SFCS) is a children’s charity and independent adoption agency based in Milton Keynes. We welcome all kinds of adopters for all kinds of children, regardless of age, race, cultural background, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.
SFCS delivers a comprehensive range of high quality professional services, both pre- and post- adoption, to families and children. Our main focus is on providing secure and sustainable adoptive placements for vulnerable children through the Adoption Connections service. This service operates within a 50-mile radius of our office, covering Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Northamptonshire, Hertfordshire, and parts of Cambridgeshire and East Anglia.
We also provide counselling, advice and support as appropriate through the Birth Connections and Building Connections services to those whose lives have been affected by adoption or other permanent placements.
As a registered children’s charity (No.211670), we welcome support for our valuable work from fundraisers, donors and volunteers. Find out how you can get involved by visiting our I'd like to help page.
Our main focus is on placing vulnerable children with new families through our Adoption Connections service. But we don’t stop there.
Birth relatives who have lost a child to adoption may be able to access our renowned Birth Connections service, which provides specialist support, advice and counselling.
And our Building Connections service is there to help adopted adults and birth families to trace their family members, whilst offering the vital support and counselling this often difficult journey requires.
SFCS truly offers a ‘cradle to grave’ service to anyone whose life has been touched by adoption.
