Alistair McAlinden and Blair Nimmo were appointed Joint Administrators of St Francis’ Children’s Society (‘SFCS’ or ‘St Francis’’) on 23 November 2022.

Normal operations, which includes ongoing work by social workers at St Francis’, ceased immediately following the Joint Administrators’ appointment.

St Francis’ cannot accept any new enquiries from prospective adopters.

Prospective or approved adopters with an open file with St Francis’ will have received a letter detailing the Joint Administrators’ approach and subsequent information on how their file can be progressed either through another agency or to closure.

Individuals accessing adoption support as at the date of the Joint Administrators’ appointment will also have received contact notifying them of the implications of the administration. St Francis’ is not able to deal with any more adoption support cases. If you are seeking adoption support, you will need to contact your placing Local Authority if you are within three years of the adoption order. If more than three years have passed post-adoption order, you should contact the local Regional Adoption Agency local to you.

St Francis’ will also no longer be able to accept any further birth records enquiries- please direct any future queries relating to St Francis’ to Milton Keynes Council, who have taken over the records previously held by St Francis’.
