St. Francis’ Children’s Society are thrilled to have recently received a £30,000 grant from the Garfield Weston Foundation.

It costs £548 per day to fund our extensive adoption support services, and the funds we have received from the Garfield Weston Foundation will help to cover the costs of providing these services.

Adoption support is available to all of our adopters, whether they adopted through us recently or years ago. The services we provide include everything from working with families on an individual basis, adoption support consultations, family events, coffee mornings, themed workshops, our therapeutic parenting course and more.

The aim of all of our adoption support services is to provide positive support to the children we place and to their families. Thanks to the generous grant we have received from the Garfield Weston Foundation, we can continue to be there for our families when they need us.

About the Foundation

Established over 60 years ago in 1958, the Garfield Weston Foundation is a family-founded, grant-making charity which supports causes across the UK with grants around £70million annually. It has donated over £1billion to charities since it was established.

One of the most respected charitable institutions in the UK, the Weston Family Trustees are descendants of the founder and take a highly active and hands-on approach.

From small community organisations to large national institutions, the Foundation supports a broad range of charities and activities that make a positive impact in the communities in which they work. More than 1,800 charities across the UK benefit each year from the Foundation’s grants.
