#GivingTuesday Hamper Campaign

November 13, 2017

Wine, olives & chocolate hamper

It is now just two weeks until #GivingTuesday and to celebrate, SFCS has launched its Giving Tuesday Hamper Campaign.

Taking place on 28th November, Giving Tuesday is the day to “do good stuff for charity”, straight after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. You can find out more about the national campaign on the Giving Tuesday website.

For our part, we’re not asking you for cash! Instead, you can support our campaign by donating items which will go into one of several hampers. The hampers will then be raffled off at local events organised by SFCS, with all proceeds helping to support vulnerable adopted children.

You can donate your unwanted new items at our office in Woolstone, Milton Keynes between 10am – 4pm, Monday to Friday.

We will be grateful for any donations you can provide, but here are a few guidelines…

  • Please ensure items are shop bought, unused and in their original packaging.  (Although a lovely idea, no home-made items please in case of allergies)
  • No refrigerated or frozen items as we don’t want items to go off
  • All perishable items to have at least 3 months left on their best before dates
  • Please do not gift wrap items as we want people to be able to see what they might win

We’ve put together the list below for inspiration. It’s absolutely fine to deviate from this list, as long as the items you are donating meet the above guidelines!

  • Cakes, Biscuits, Mince-pies, Sweets, Chocolates
  • Marmalades, Chutneys, Oils, Balsamic Vinegars
  • Savoury Biscuits, Crisps, Nuts
  • Coffee, Tea, Hot Chocolate
  • Wine, Port, Sherry, Baileys, Mulled Wine
  • Bath Salts, Bubble Bath
  • Hand Creams, Body Lotion, Shower Gels, Soaps
  • Candles

Your support is really appreciated. With your help, St. Francis’ Children’s Society will continue to support those touched by adoption. We look forward to seeing you at our offices over the next few weeks!

If you are unable to make it to our offices, we gladly accept monetary donations to support our work. Visit our Donate page to explore your options. Thank you!
