Let's Eat - Collage of adopted children cooking & eating

It’s October, it’s getting cold outside and National Adoption Week is just around the corner… so it must be time for the annual SFCS Let’s Eat! campaign.

At St. Francis’ Children’s Society, we know how important getting together with your friends and family is. This campaign allows you to celebrate family and friendship whilst raising funds for your favourite children’s charity.

The idea is simple. You organise a meal or other get-together with your nearest and dearest and, in return for your hospitality, they make a donation to SFCS. Not bad for a meal out!

This year, it’s all about getting the kids involved. We know that children love doing something special for charity, so they could help plan the type of event, help cook the food or send out the invites.  Whether you and your children host a party, a bake sale at school or in your community, a lunch or anything in between, we would love to hear how your kids get involved in this year’s Let’s Eat!

All monies raised from this campaign will go towards supporting the vulnerable children we work with. Our adoption support services are available to any family which adopted through SFCS, regardless of how recently the adoption took place. Many of our support services are dependent on donations and the fundraising efforts of our supporters. So you can really make a difference by getting involved with Let’s Eat!

This campaign is organised to coincide with all of our National Adoption Week activities.  Whilst National Adoption Week runs between 15th – 21st October, you can host your Let’s Eat event at any time throughout October.

We have put together a special fundraising pack for anyone who may be interested in hosting their own Let’s Eat! event. The pack is full of ideas and tips for making your event a real success, and includes other resources such as invitations to send to your guests.

To find out more and request your fundraising pack, visit our Let’s Eat! page.

We hope you’ll get involved and we look forward to hearing about your foodie events!
