We hope you will join us in Woolstone, Milton Keynes, 11am – 2pm on Sunday 13th May. We will be opening up our Family Centre so guests will have a rare opportunity to see inside an area that is not usually open to the public.
Inside will be a variety of different activities for both children and parents to get involved in, including an adults and children’s tombola, a children’s craft corner and the main event which is the nearly-new toy sale. Afterwards, children and adults alike can rest their feet and treat themselves to a cream tea and other light refreshments.
Entry to the event (including the craft corner) is free, however we are hoping to raise £500 from the event from the sale of the toys and other activities. This is our first ever Fun Day and we anticipate that it will be popular, so get here early to bag the best bargains!
Leanne Sinclair, our Fundraising Officer said: “We are so excited to be organizing our very first Fun Day right here in our Family Centre. We see it as a wonderful way to not only raise funds, but to get to know members of the local community and for them to get to know us.
This is an opportunity for people to get closer to the charity. This will be one of the first times we have ever opened the Family Centre up to the public so we are sure people are curious to see first-hand where our work takes place and to find out how they can get involved.
The monies raised from this event will help to fund the services that we provide to our adopters and their children. We offer life-long support and are here for our adoptive families whenever they are in need. By attending our Fun Day, you can make a real difference to vulnerable children and their adoptive families.”
We are also gratefully accepting new and good quality second hand toys to sell at the event. If you have any toys to donate, please visit us or get in touch.
