November 22, 2019
We hope you will be able to join us at our Milton Keynes office on Wednesday 4th December between 6.30pm – 8pm for our last adoption information event of 2019.
Our regular adoption information events are open to anyone who may be considering building a family through adoption. Wherever you are in the thought process, whatever your stage of readiness, we will address the questions you have.
Our adoption information events give potential adopters the opportunity to find out more about the adoption process in a relaxed, no-pressure atmosphere.
Our events begin with a presentation from one of our social workers at 6.30pm. They will tell you more about what the adoption process involves and the children who are in care and awaiting adoption. You’ll then hear from some of our existing adopters, who will share their experiences and tell you what it’s really like to become an adoptive parent.
You’ll also be able to ask any burning questions you may have, and speak privately to a social worker if you’d like to.
If you’re thinking about adoption, we hope you’ll get in touch with us, or join us in Milton Keynes on Wednesday 4th December. And if you’re too busy with Christmas preparations to attend that event, our first event of 2020 is on Wednesday 8th January – why not pop the date in your diary now?
SFCS operates an open-door policy and we welcome all kinds of adopters for all kinds of children – regardless of age, race, cultural background, religion, marital status or sexual orientation.
If you think you can’t adopt, please visit our Adoption Myths page – you may be pleasantly surprised! And if you want to find out more about adopting a child before you come along to one of our events, please visit our I’d like to adopt page and our Adoption Resources page.
If you are planning to attend one of our adoption information events or have any queries beforehand, please let us know – we’ll be happy to help.
