Back in December, the MKU3A Choir held a Christmas Carol Concert at Lovat Hall in Newport Pagnell. SFCS were one of two charities to benefit and we received a fantastic donation of £450!

We would like to take this opportunity to say a huge thank you to the MKU3A Choir for their support. Congratulations to all their members for putting on such a wonderful event.

In just a few weeks’ time, just after Valentine’s Day, we are also going to benefit from another concert. This time it is a Love-themed Variety Concert. Just around the corner from our offices, the concert is taking place in Woolstone Community Centre on Saturday 17th February at 7pm.

Love-Themed Variety Concert detailsYou can simply turn up on the night as there are no tickets and entry is free, however donations will be gratefully accepted on the night. We have room for roughly 70 seats and anticipate that the event will be very popular so if you would like to guarantee a seat please arrive in plenty of time.

Guests will be treated to a variety of performances ranging from poetry, singers, a choir and musicians, all with the theme of love. There will also be a small buffet, the food of which has been donated by local companies. We will also be serving tea and coffee.

SFCS are thrilled to be involved in the event and see it as a wonderful opportunity to not only raise funds, but to get to know members of the local community. However, like lots of charities, St. Francis’ Children’s Society relies on its supporters and events like this Variety Concert to raise funds to support our work. We are hoping to raise funds from donations made on the night and through a raffle.

As the venue and buffet have been donated, all monies raised from this event will help to fund the services that we provide to our adopters and their children. We offer life-long support and are here for our adoptive families whenever they are in need.

By attending and supporting the concert, you can make a real difference to vulnerable children and their adoptive families. For more information, give us a call on 01908 572700 or e-mail our Fundraising Officer at Leannes@sfcs.org.uk
