Christmas opening hours

December 16, 2020

Pink Christmas present

The SFCS office will close for the Christmas break at 5pm on Wednesday 23rd December, and will re-open at 9am on Monday 4th January 2021.

If you call the office during this period you will hear the answerphone, and you are more than welcome to leave a message.

On the working days during this period (Thursday 24th,  Tuesday 29th, Wednesday 30th and Thursday 31st December), we are operating an emergency duty system, where urgent calls requiring a response will be actioned within 24 hours.

If your call is a general enquiry or regarding an open case, we will contact you when the office re-opens in the new year.

And you can of course continue to email us at enquiries@sfcs.org.uk and we will respond to your emails as soon as possible when the office re-opens.

But just because the SFCS office is closed for a while, that doesn’t mean your adoption journey has to be put on hold. The SFCS website includes a host of information and resources which can help you to find out more about adoption, what the process involves and whether SFCS is the right agency for you.

Christmas teddy bearIf you’re considering adoption, our Who can adopt? page will help you to think about whether this is the right path for you and your family.

Everyone’s experience of the adoption process will be unique, but our What can I expect page will give you a snapshot of the road to adoption, including all of the training and support SFCS will offer you.

And if that piques your interest you can find out much more by reading our Adoption Information Pack. This document takes you through the adoption process in greater detail, tells you more about the children who are awaiting adoption, and shares the viewpoints of both adopters and adopted children.

Our What support will I get? page will tell you all about the wide range of support services which will be available to you – before, during and after placement – if you decide to adopt through SFCS.

We also offer a host of adoption resources, including our real adopter stories and useful links to other adoption organisations which could offer you further information and support as you decide if adoption is right for you.

We hope you’ll be able to spend some time looking through all of our adoption information over the Christmas period, and we look forward to seeing you at one of our adoption information events soon…

Happy Christmas!
