During the next month, SFCS will be hitting the road to spread the word about adoption across our region.
Anyone who knows us will be able to tell you that on the first Wednesday of every month, we hold information evenings at both our Milton Keynes AND Peterborough offices. These events are well-attended and we’re always heartened to see the number of people who want to learn more about the adoption process and consider whether it might be the right move for them.
With that in mind, we’re extending our reach even further this month with a special, additional First Wednesday event in Corby. The event will take place on Wednesday 4th March, between 6pm and 7.30pm at the Hampton by Hilton hotel, Rockingham Leisure Park, Corby, Northamptonshire, NN17 4AP. One of our social workers will tell you a bit more about the adoption process, you’ll hear from one of or experienced adopters, and you’ll be able to ask any burning questions you may have.
If attending an information event seems like too much of a commitment, we’re offering potential adopters other opportunities to find out more about adoption in a much more informal setting.
On Friday 27th February, between 4pm and 7pm, we will be hosting an information stand at Morrisons Supermarket, Lower Street, Kettering, Northamptonshire NN16 8AN. Our social workers will be on hand to speak to anyone who is interested in adoption, answer any questions and hand out general information.
And similarly, SFCS social workers will be hosting another stand at Queensgate Shopping Centre, Peterborough, all day on Thursday 12th March. Please pop along and see our friendly team – they’d love to chat to you!
If you are considering adoption, whatever stage of the thought process you have reached, SFCS is here to offer you information and support. If you feel ready to find out more, we do hope you’ll come along to one of these information events – you’ll be guaranteed a warm reception, with no pressure or obligation.
