Sorry. We’ve done it. We’ve mentioned the ‘C’ word!
Does the idea of fighting your way down the high street to find Christmas gifts for your family fill you with dread? Do you prefer to avoid the crowds and do your Christmas shopping from the comfort of your sofa? If so, you can raise funds for SFCS while you shop and it won’t cost you a single additional penny!
SFCS are signed up to two schemes which enable people to support us for free whilst shopping online…
EasyFundraising is partnered with almost 4,000 UK retailers, including numerous big-name brands such as John Lewis, Next, M&S and Sainsbury’s. When you shop on any of these websites, the retailer makes a small donation to say thank you and these funds are passed on to us by EasyFundraising. Find out more about the scheme and sign up to support us here.
AmazonSmile is a website operated by Amazon selling exactly the same products with the same prices and shopping features as Amazon.co.uk. The difference is that when you shop on AmazonSmile, Amazon will send us 0.5% of the net purchase price (excluding VAT, returns and shipping fees) from your eligible AmazonSmile purchases. It may not sound much, but it all adds up! Find out more about how this works and sign up to support us here.
We hope you will feel able to support us in this way when you shop online this Christmas. So…
Grab yourself a festive tipple. Put your feet up. Do some Christmas shopping for your loved ones from the comfort of your sofa… and enjoy the warm glow of supporting your favourite children’s charity!
Thank you all so much for your support – every little helps!
If you would like to support our work with adopted children and their families in other ways, there are lots of ideas on the Fundraise for Us page of our website, as well as a downloadable fundraising pack. If you’re feeling particularly daring, there are also plenty of fundraising challenges you could consider. But if that all sounds too much like hard work, you can stay put on your sofa and simply make a donation instead! Thank you for your support. Happy Christmas!
